Usually there's a buzz of excitement surrounding the arrival of a new baby! Cute clothing, car seats, cribs, diapers and formula are ready and waiting for most babies before they even enter this world.

But there are some women who feel only stress when thinking about the items necessary for caring for their new baby. These are the women ADVOCA serves. They are usually young with limited family support, education and finances. Their babies often revisit the hospital, battling preventable illnesses, malnutrition or "failure to thrive."
